In march the kickoff event for the digitalization strategy of Landkreis Meißen took place in Großenhain. atene KOM GmbH and the Data Competence Center Cities and Regions DKSR GmbH have been commissioned to implement the development process.
As one of thirteen counties, the district Meißen is being supported as part of the “Smarte.Land.Regionen” model project of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). The creation of a digitalization strategy is to be the starting point for an intelligent, sustainable and digital development of the region.
The focus lies on the identification of digital needs, potentials and fields of action in connection with realizable and effective measures in the region. A wide range of individual projects and impulse projects are to be coordinated to create a structured roadmap for the digital transformation of the entire region. This will be based on existing municipal and higher-level concepts. The integrated planning and implementation process serves as a holistic basis for successful digitalization in the region.
In addition to atene KOM and DKSR, the event was attended by representatives from the Meißen County Development Office, Economic Development in the Meißen Region GmbH (WRM) and the Office for Information Technology and Digitization.
